Jari Ala-Ruona

Jari is an experienced entrepreneur and the founder of Oxygen 2050 network, which brings entrepreneurs, change-makers, and investors together to help one another in the launch and scaling of new ventures for a better world.

He has been working at the conjunction of emerging technologies, disruptive business models, frontier markets, and software since 1994.

He holds a MSc in Economics and Business Administration from Aalto University Helsinki School of Business.

Having local business experience in Nigeria, Zambia, Namibia, Kenya, and Tanzania, Joakim is responsible for our local partnerships in Africa. 

He has more than 20 years of industry experience in the mobile communications and embedded systems industries, serving in various executive, senior sales, business development, marketing management, project management and engineering roles. 

Joakim holds an MSc from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

Radu is a senior software team lead, having solved several impossible software problems.

He has relevant expertise over the past 10 years on critical software ranging from anti-phishing to hardware and software. Open source and closed OS and carrier security including Strongswan, IKEv2.

Radu holds a BSc in Computer Science.

Hien is the data brain of the crew. His role intersects between data analytics, software development, and policy research

He has a strong statistics and economics models background, including prediction models and policy research related to welfare and poverty programs.

He holds a MA in Economics from Georgia State University and BA in Economics from the University of California, Davis.

Aleksandra combines her international business experience with the professional interests in digital media and technology. Her master degree in social science focused on developing media & information literacy (MIL) through online hackathons with young participants from developing countries. 

Tuulikki has studied development studies (BA Hons) at the Nelson Mandela University in South Africa and has a MSc. in Economics and Business administration from the University of Turku in Finland. She has hands-on experience from working with Aion’s Smartphones4good pilots and other projects with partners on-site in Finland and South Africa.
